

Goal:
Create a fast-paced combat encounter to show off the newly obtained laser weapon
Design:
The space is designed so that all combat and movement orbits around the stone that is placed in the center of the room.
I intended to break up the room since it isn't very big. I wanted the player to use the vertical space they did have to their advantage.
Because of this design, the combat ends up flowing in a circular pattern around the room until all of the robots are defeated.
Furthermore, the inside of the cave forces players into a jumping puzzle. Players will need to use timed jumps to progress through the level. Players will also need to utilize the destructive power of the ion cannon to break rocks and clear pathways for themselves.
